I started this blog as an educational resource for budding thinkScript writers. There was/is little or no documentation for thinkScript and so learning through example seems the best approach. The bulk of scripts on this site are openly available by simply cutting and pasting. I hope you have learned and benefited from these scripts. If so, and feel I am worthy of your support please follow the instructions below. Detailed Instructions
Once you click the “Donate” button you will be taken to a PayPal screen like the one shown at the bottom of the page. Enter your desired amount and click “Update Total” to begin the transaction. PayPal will lead you through the rest of the steps. You must click the final 
button for the transaction to process (dollar amount will reflect your donation). Once the PayPal is complete, I’ll contact you via email – usually within a few hours at most. If you don’t hear from me in a reasonable amount of time, please email me so we can get the communications sorted.

an idea for an indicator that is simple to code.
plot in a seperate pane the difference between last trade and 20 period ma, to identify how far away the price typically gets from the ma before reverting back to the mean. If im still in a position I might want to take profits at that level.
Nice idea but there is currently no way to get the trade data or any other account data into a script.

i am interested in some of the scripts listed as donor only, but am not sure of how they work in actuality, since i am not a programmer. Why not do a screen capture video with explanation to demonstrate how they work so that we can evaluate each one?
I am ana active trader and some or all may be applicable to my style of trading and a video tutorial would help determine the suitability w/o having to try it live. It might even generate ideas for tweaks that would benefit others as well.

I am stuck can anyone help me figure this out:
I am trying to simply find a way to reference the highest/lowest close since a crossover
the basic highest(close, xxx) or lowest(close, xxx) function in think script requires xxx to be a constant but I need it to be a variable
i.e.
a 50 day moving average
if a bar has been above the 50 day moving average for 10, 40, 100, 349 etc… days and then closes below the 50 day ma
then i need to be able to reference the highest close since it last crossed over from below to above the 50 day ma
likewise after it has crossed below it – i need to be able to reference the lowest close since it crossed below the 50 day ma
and going forward be able to do this (reference highest when closes above 50 day ma and reference lowest when closes below 50 day ma)
i need this in order to be able to calculate my formula
Step 1: start long
start 6 bars in
average of high-low for last 5 days x 1.5 = volmultiplier
since long – subtract volmultiplier from highest close since beginning of chart
plot this line on every close
Step 2 IF price closes below plotted line then add volmultiplier to lowest close since crossover
if price closes above plotted line then subtract volmultiplier to highest close since crossover
Step 3 repeat step 2 infinitely
I am running this on other platforms with no issues but am trying to get all my formulas over to TOS
i tried if/then statements but thinkscript only allows for a certain size script so if it has been 100 bars since a crossover or 200 bars since a crossover r more it will not work
Sent a question on a script I was stuck on and he replied with the solution I was told by TOS could not be done! – Donated $100 – THANK YOU!

Many thanks for doing a great job on these indicators! The scripts are very easy to load and quite understandable and user friendly right out the gate. I compared some of the pricing offered by other Websites, who offer only a couple of scripts for $$$$hundreds of dollars more. I also would like to mention that your forum support is also unselfishly impressive as well. The PRO Membership is worth the $75 alone!

Does your thinkscript for Volume profile help me to develop composites for multiple trading days/perios or does it only result in only one volume profile for the defined period of time?

You can create a composite profile for all the data on the chart as well as ann individual profile for each day.
